OT: Air stagnation advisory???

Has anyone ever heard of this? My excite.com home page has a severe weather alert for this entire area and states the air stagnation advisory is used when the AQI (air quality index) is higher than 100 meaning high air pollution and that we are to avoid strenuous activity outside.

Am I new here?

Since when?

I think the DEC was the agency who implemented that for tomorrow....I thought that was a Left...oops West Coast thing... :)

It basically means it is hot with little or no wind and we can have high levels of ozone build up.

I strongly recomend staying indoors with AC and consuming plenty of cold beer in attempt to neutralize the effects.

The 6:00 news cleared it up for me a bit... it's actually a warning for tomorrow but since it's my day off, and going to be a nice one at that, I still plan on painting my tank canopy out in the garage and playing in the garden a bit. And yeah, the watermelon Smirnoff in the fridge will probably actually get finished off while I'm at it. It's only been in there for 6 months now...

All after a trip to the LFS of course... :D

ROTFL!!!!
Something tells me a lawyer was involved in this, I can smell it.
Air stagnation warning, eh? Better call out the National Guard.

 Yeah, one of these days we'll all probably be advised to live in a contained bubble system fed through IV's of only approved food... sun, tasty food, and now air all = bad. Those are my 3 must haves in life. Gotta go sometime right? I'm off to get a McGriddle and soak up some sunshine in the fresh air. ;)

did'nt seem so bad. i helped my neighbor put in a couple hundred bales of hay today. ice water a a couple of cold beers was welcome when we got done.
