My hot water heater is leaking from the bottom? I'm not sure from where but I know it is not from the spout? It works fine but I guess I better replaces it before it floods the basement  For the ones that replaces the heater, or priced them where were you getting the best deal? Mine is Gas, and I believe a 30gal. Which has always worked just fine for us.

Mine is on the verge, but it is electric. I am hanging on..... I have an all electric house, getting it up the back side from Ameren....

Check the pressure relief valve Lonnie.

If it's leaking from there you can replace the valve and save some money.

It's not the Relief Valve either. It like its leaking from underneath.. I cannot tell where it leaking for sure.

Sounds like the tank is rotted out. There's a plumbing place in Collinsville by(behind) Luara buick or the Dodge dealer can't remember the name but they seemed like the cheapest around. There're to the left of Frost elect.

Replacement...

Replacement...

Laclede gas will replace it, pull the permits and haul off the old one then let you pay it on your gas bill. Might be worth a try... If it has an internal leak it is typically not repairable.

But, If you already have hot water... why do you need to heat it?

Sorry, I couldn't resist.
