OT: any welders out there

Ok i have a question about welding, i have a 1967 vw bug that i am restoring, the floor pans in it have a few bad spots that i need to weld in new metal. The question is can i be standing on the floor pan while i am welding it? the holes are right smack in the midlle and i can't see how i would be able to weld the area with out standing in the floor pan.

Yes, as long as the ground is connected well enough to make the welding wire or rod arc, you are ok. I held all the metal parts of my stand while my fab guy tacked them in place.
