My brother is plannin' on gettin' his son a rabbit. While at Petsmart today, seen some nice hutches (but they are high). Didn't know if anyone local had one they wasn't usin' and would sale. Just let me know and I'll run it by him...

Thanks,
Steve

I bet Co-OP or tractor supply would be cheaper. Tell him to check out the rex bunnies. Never felt a softer animal. At least I think they were called "rex" as in Mini rex Hmm, or was it  Anyways there is a bunny thats very soft like mink. He needs to just potty tain it and keep it inside!

I've heard about litterbox training. But, are they like a cat, just run lose in your house? Or still keep em in a cage with a litter box? I'd be affraid they would still mess everywhere (if they run lose). I was tryin' to convince him to get a Flemish Giant Rabbit...

theres a rex and a mini rex and they are really soft. we used to show and breed mini lop rabbits in 4-h but my moms best friend had the rex's and mini rex's. My wife keeps trying to talk me into getting a rabbit but i got over there soft fur and cuteness by having to clean our rabbit barn as a kid that had around a 100 rabbits at most times . I was glad when we got out of rabbits and bought horses

I have read where people just let them run loose and they always go to the box when trained. I wonder how hard it is also. MAN that is one HUGE bunny!!!

You can litter box train them, they usually go in one spot, once you find that spot, place a litter box where they go and train from there. I used to raise rabbits as well, not a fun job.....I end up have to bottle feed for over a month then train it to eat rabbit pellets, it took me awhile but that was the best mini lop I've ever owned. I've become highly allergic to rabbits so I couldn't keep any around me anymore.....

I get allot of cage/cage building supplies at Garr's on Lebanon Rd. They used to have SS cage wire.
They have allot of stuff tsc doesn't.
