Saltwater Guru
I just picked up a 1988 Yamaha YSR50 today minus the motor and fairings, came with two sets of new tires and aftermarket triple clamp and front forks setup for a 200lb rider which I am=)..

Im planning on putting my 1991 yamaha Water cooled YZ250motor in it=) Should be a bunch of fun!!

Anyone else have one or know of any good place to buy parts?
Looking for a sprocket that will fit a 520 chain. rear disc brake conversion kit, extended swingarm(I might just extend mine myself=)... etc...

if your not familiar with the bikes there street legal 50cc streetbikes that are about half the size of a fullsize streetbike=)

it's a bit rough but will look good after I custom paint it(more than likely myself)

Right on man.. Hey can they make me a rear sprocket for the larger chain? What do you have done to your? I want to get a few more after I finish this one..
a stock one and I want to put a 450motor in one also..

main thing you want to look for is a new rear shock since the stock ones aren't any good. best out there, but out of production is made by Fox. I use to take it to sacramento back in the days for racing, but they close the track down. PM me if you need parts.

I've heard about people using R6 rear shocks on them? heard of that.. Those FOX and Ohlins ones are expensive like $500 on eBay..

Mostly Im looking for bosy panels right now.. I don't have any besides half of the tail section... Are yours all street legal?Im trying to figure out how to wire everything up when I put the YZ250 motor in it.. Probably convert it to 12volt doesn't seem too hard to do about $20 in parts from what I read on www.ysr50.com
