OT: auto insurance

If your state allows it, carry only liability, which means you can fix someone else's car if you hit them and you're covered for their medical costs, but your truck isn't covered---unless by their insurance if it's their fault. You'd do better putting the money you'd otherwise pay for insurance into a "someday a truck" fund and letting it build up to the value of that truck.
 
no chance: Florida's minimum coverage is $10,000 personal injury protection (PIP) and $10,000 property damage liability (PDL) as long as you have a valid Florida tag, even if the vehicle is in another state or inoperative. There are no exemptions in the law. However, if you have been involved in a crash, or been convicted of certain offenses, you may be required to purchase bodily injury liability coverage (BIL).
 
not sure if it helps but i use esurance online and i never have to worry about it i have base min. on it and its quick and cheap i do like 60 a month for a 95 camaro and it just went to that when i hit 25 so good luck hope it helps

NOOO on the liability insurance only baaaddd idea! insurance on a 1000 dollar truck is going to be minimal anyway.
