OT: Best Steakhouse from Fort Collins to Denver??

Capital grill hands down! Best steak I have ever had in my life. Experience and food is second to none. Ruth Chris sucks compared to here. Highly disappointed there.
They allow for 2 seatings per night so there is no rush. Make reservations if you go.

My wife is the pickiest meat eater ever, they are about the only place that gets her order right. If we could both pick a last meal it would be there!

Make sure to make a point to say you're first timers, they take care of you! And their pineapple infused vodka is amazing!

I don't care much for the Fort. You are buying the scenery more than the meal. The buckhorn exchange is a better meal if you also want a scene. Also the Cork in boulder is a good steak. For those of us who like the cheap meats, I suggest TX roadhouse.

I think sullivans is the best I have had. This is where I would go.

Del Frisco is very good as well

The chophouse would be third for me. they used to have a veal steak that was rediculously good, but they got rid of it.

Never had elways or capital grill

The buckhorn and the fort are really good for agme meats, but you can find better beef stakes.

Traildust has good steaks, but not the best atmoshphere for anniversary

I forget the name, but I took my wife to a steakhouse on Havana, just a little past the golf course, (if coming from Denver towards Aurora). It was a bit pricey, but the food was great, service was great, I really can't say a bad thing about the place, other than it is a touch dated.
Ruth's Chris is good, just a bit "trendy", they seem to be heading the way of Outback.

Ruth Christs above the rest. Filet, broiled at 1800 degress, butter. Carpaccio for starters. And then a flight of 100 years of port to bring it to an end. Cant go wrong. Always get the best service no matter location I visit.

bmb527,

That is the Summit steakhouse.

It is very good, but was even better 20 years ago before it moved from Peoria & Parker road behind the liquor store.

The Denver Ruth's Chris closed about a week or so ago.

Sullivan's and Elway's are both good, with a little less of the "expense account" price structure. Sorry, price has always been an object with me, but I still manage to eat (too) good.

Ruths Chris closed? WOW!

Well thanks all for the many good reviews. We have made a reservation for Sunday at Sullivans!

I have been to Ruth Chris, Mortons, 4th Street Chop House (Lvld), Black Steer, Denver Chop House. All great places.

I have been to this place in their Palm Desert Location. I *highly* recommend it.

Atmosphere is top notch. Great Anniversary Gig (did it for mine in Palm Desert).

Yeah.. I live here and have spent countless nights at Sullivans... I have only been there twice since I was served a rancid (you read that right) steak a couple years ago at the PD location. One of my favorites, but how does that happen? I go to Ruths Chris more often as I really prefer it anyways.

To clarify, I can make a better steak at home with a sweet piece of meat from my friend who runs a meat distributorship. Quite happy about that.

I know you have made reservations but i thought i would throw my 2 cents in. collin said it best , the Black Steer in loveland has a great atmosphere for the wine n dine croud and i have never had a better steak then there signature "pepper steak", it absolutly the best steak money can buy!
