OT: Board Games

cards against humanity for those that have graduated from apples to apples, although technically I guess they aren't board games...

I am a Monopoly guy, I have over 100 games unopened, and probably about two dozen that I play when ever I can find a willing foe

I'm taking Settlers of Catan over to a family game night this Saturday. I haven't gotten to play it since I got it. I hope the family is willing to learn with me.

Ticket to Ride will be a hit with the family I'm sure. It's so easy to play.

I played cards against humanity basically every friday night in Afghanistan, assuming I wasn't sleeping under the stars.

My collection is growing...

My collection is growing...

On the surface, you wouldn't think that the board game hobby could come even close to reefkeeping in terms if wallet impact. You'd realize that you are dead wrong if you saw some of the collections that people show on the boardgame geek website.

My collection is growing, and I've more or less taken over the hall closet. My wife gives me the hairy eyeball when she sees me futzing in here, but doesn't hassle me since she knows that the money spent on these is worth the time it gives me with my kids when we get to play.

Feel free to ask me about any of these games! I love talking board games like I love talking reef aquariums!
