It is about that time of year folks'... hormones flarin' and babies poppin' out left and right, well, the birds are in that state of mind aswell, and on my lunchbreak today i snapped some photos of some animals, the gators were not doing much of anything interesting and really, the only animals to stay still enough were the birds, but anywho, here are some pictures...:)

We collected eggs of an American Crocodile on saturday, there are onlya few of these left in the wild and it was a BIG deal for us to now have eggs of what will soon be i think about a hundred baby American Crocodiles :)....so that was cool, the gators are already impregnated, but they wont lay eggs for another months or so...

and yes, if you were wondering...the top photo is of four gators trying to procreate in a more interesting way, they were at it for hours, and none of the workers at Gatorland have ever seen them do anythign like that before....lol

Great pics Seth.
Just a reminder for everyone, if it's breeding season at Gatorland, then it's breeding season for the state of Florida. Use caution around our lakes and rivers. Gators get very aggressive this time of year.

Thanks for the reminder Shane. I walk my dog Bailey over by Lake Harney a lot...probably a good time to find somewhere else for a while. There are some big gators over there. Marcye

The fluffiness of the baby in the 4th picture made me say "Awwwww" out loud :) Great pics Seth!! What kind of bird is that anyway?

It is either an American Coot or a Purple Gallinule.

It is something like a Gallinue or something like that :)

If your pic shows the exact coloring of the bird, then it is an American Coot. Purple Gallinules are much more colorful, and have ALOT of purple on them, hence the name. LOL.
Most native Floridian's call both coots and Gallinules the same thing. Either they are both coots, or both gallinules.
Either way, by either name, that is one of the cutest babies you will ever see. At least in the bird world.:D

Thanks guys! Ive neer seen or heard of that bird before. Im not a FL native, so I have no idea what half of the stuff is that I see here lol

Yeah, i love my job, will be hot i the summer, but it is a fun job, and i get paid well, so i am happy :)
