OT Brett Favre announces retirement.

I am glad he is gone, but unfortunately the Bear's still do not have a quarterback as good as Arron Rodgers.

I have heard this before. i was at the bears VS. GB last year last game of the year and he did this, maybe it is for real this time. i know the bears Vs. GB is a big riveraly, i love the bears... but Brett is a good QB. he will be a hall of fammer

WOW! this after a a great year with the "most talented team" he's every played with? seems odd, why did he play last year when he knew a superbowl was 2-3 years away with that team?

The state is Wisconsin is officially in morning today :(

Now we aren't going to be any different than the Bears (well, we'll still have more class but we won't play any better)!

And no, it wasn't because of Moss. It reportedly was because McCarthy didn't necessarily want him back

btw(in my best lovie voice) quarterbackwise...we're gonna stick with Rex...wide reciever-wise...marc bradley is a our number 1, we feel comfortable with him as our number one.....runningbackwise..uh i think we like our chances, if someone goes down we got garret wolf ready for the number 2 position...

The offense is gonna be harder to watch this year!

and I could walk on and play on the O-line for the bears this year even with my bad back and bad knee.

What a WuSs!! I know he could have came up with a better excuse than this....

"I know I can still play, but it's like I told my wife, I'm just tired mentally. I'm just tired"

Dang EMO QB

Might have more class but we at least have basic grammer skills.

Morning - Before Noon

Mourning - a period of time during which signs of grief are shown

:)

Out of respect, I wish him nothing but the best. At least the Bears had finally figured him out, even if it was at the end of his career. Here's a few of my favorite pictures of his...

I'm left wondering how Mike Brown got injured after making this hit that's pictured... that dude is more fragile than Kerry Wood and Mark Prior put together.

The only thing that I am happy about, after hearing Favre was retiring is the fact that I will no longer have to hear Bears fans cry about how he's owned their team over the past 15+ years he has played against them.

i think it kinda stinks that Aaron Rogers will soon have more starts under his belt than the last 29 Bears quarterbacks!

Thats a stat that I always loved seeing whenever the Bears played the Pack.:eek1: :mad2:

If I were a Bears fan, I'd be more upset with the team's management, in their complete inability to draft quality QBs... not to mention, their picks haven't been that good when they occasionally pickup a free agent QB.

Yet another example (or two) of reasons why I am not a fan of this football team...

I say the same thing about the Packers management. To have the greatest or one of the greatest QB's in history, and only 1 Championship. Put a team around the guy! And what a way to end his career. They basically said "Well if you want to play another year well ok, your Brett Farve and all so fine...but we're not going to really pursue another year, just kinda leave you hanging and hope you get a clue and retire, so we don't have to look like the bad guy. Now that's class. And lets be honest here...while the Bears have been completely inept in the QB anything category....it's not like it's a proven science. It's a crap shoot. Tom Brady, Brett Farve, Joe Montana...none were 1st round picks. For as many 1st round QB's that pan out there's 10 that never did squat.

Very true... it's not a proven science... it just seems (to me) like the Bears' management takes it to a whole new level.

[/end rant]
