OT: Burning Lasers

Has anybody fooled around, or built a burning laser? I need to get some practice with electrical, soldering skills. So why not make something cool?

All I wanted were sharks with frickin' lazer beams attached to their heads. Is that too much to ask?

I don't have a shark, could I attach one to a clownfish and get the same effect?

I don't think fear will be struck with clownfish and laser beams....

Don't be fooled by the name... clown fish are actually vicious when provoked... and some have FRICKIN' LASERS!

Clownfish will be-friend you with jokes, and after six months or so when they have your full trust is when they get you and set you aflame.

No experience with them, but I was looking at setting up a laser cnc a while back, pretty sweet, look on ebay there is a cheap 50 w laser on there now.
