That's what you get for eating chicken at a steak house!

Yeah really! Who does that anyway?? Chicken...bah!

;)

Does anyone eat their steaks well done anymore? :) It's surprising to see how many people like their steaks anywhere from RARE to medium well.

Well Done? Well thats just ruining a perfectly good steak :)

Texas Roadhouse in Urbandale, very good steaks. The wait can be a pain of you show up at dinner time though.

At Texas roadhouse, you can do call ahead seating. If you do that you can usually get a table pretty fast.

I like prime rib medium-rare

As far as favorite places:
1.) My mom can make a pretty mean prime rib on the grill
2.) LG's Steakhouse -DT Sandiego (too expensive though)
3.) The OP

definetly prime rib. medium rare please!

Places i like would include RUBES near Tama IA (well worth the drive) for steak, otherwise i would have to say Buffords (ames ia) for ribs- hands down.

I used to live in omaha, and there used to be a place just north of council bluffs called the pink poodle. It had the best prime rib i have ever had in my life.

Honorable mentions would include "the prime rib" in spencer IA for their 24 ounce prime rib listed on the menu as 'the animal' cut.

PS don't waist your time at OUTBACK! the last three times have been terrible! JMHO!

DSM Cut Prime Rib from Crimins in DSM (Medium Rare)
Rancher's Cut Rib Eye from Timberline Steakhouse in Spearfish, SD (Medium Rare)
16 ounce Rib Eye smoothered in Bleu Cheese Ruth's Criss Steakhouse (Medium Rare)
Chili Rubbed Tenderloin The Twisted Chicken in MacGregor, IA (Medium Rare) This one is tough to get as their menu changes daily.

My house. New York strip over charcoal cooked medium well. Just know juices to get your mouth watering but done enough not to give you mad cow disease. :o)

Be happy knowing that your bovine spongiform encephalopathy will make it right through your charcoal grill's heat, not matter how long you cook it.

I guess that would explain a few things.....I just thought it was the booze.

My wife and I went to Iowa Beef Steakhouse and it was very good. If you like LARGE steaks then this is the place, they also gill over Hardwood Charcoal or you can grill it yourself...

# 14 oz. Filet
# 20 oz. Marinated Beef Kabob
# 20 oz. Ribeye
# 20 oz. New York Strip
# 24 oz. Sirloin
# 24 oz. Sirloin Teriyaki
# 28 oz. T-Bone

The Texas Road House is good as well...

Theo's east of Sioux City is (was?) pretty dang awesome...last time I was there, I ordered the 16 ounce prime rib and they had a special...add all you can eat king crab legs for $1.99. 6 construction workers...we pretty much ran em out of crab legs.
