I worked for Petropolis in high school... I was a "playtime attendant" - took the dogs outside for their playtimes, fed them, cleaned kennels, etc. The cats, too. They are treated well and cared for properly. If I had a dog and couldn't find a neighbor or friend to take him, I wouldn't hesitate to board him there. Did the $60 include playtimes? When I worked there (10 years ago) you could choose different levels, which affected how often the dog was taken out for playtime.

Another option would be Kennelwood, off Page. They go a little over the top... if you pay for premium lodgings, your dog even gets to watch movies.

I have used Westinn Kennels...

If I remember right, it was around 20-25 bucks a dog(big dogs) They had a nice place and seemed to take good care of them. The one in Dardiene prairie is actually at the owners house so thats where I take mine.

If you wanted to save money and take a drive.
Country Estates in Shiloh, Il. charges $14/day for large dogs (over 65 lbs) walks and play are $3-$5/day extra.
I've never had a problem using them, it is run by the wife of my dogs' vet.

My dogs get groomed at Westinn Kennels. Very nice people!! That's where I would take them if I was going to board them.
