I'm currently in the UAE. Perfectly same. Especially this time of year where much of the country consists of people from other countries. English is spoken practically everywhere. Here's the picture I took three weeks ago
Here's picture of the aquarium in the Dubai mall.
Excuse the bad phone pictures. Lighting wasn't the greatest and nothing would be still for more than a split second. , , , ,
Great pics including the one of the burj.I'm really getting excited. I just hope I get selected to go.do you know if they have any diving/snorkeling in/near Dubai?

There probably is, but you'd have to look online. I know snorkeling is big in Oman, but Dubai should have some as well. It might be a bit out of your way, nonetheless the far East part of the UAE(Arabian Gulf) has by far better marine diversity than the Persian Gulf.
Anything you do whether its the Bruj Khalifa, 4x4ing in the sand dunes, or anything else make sure to book it ahead of time. The tickets for the Bruj Khalifa are ~$40 online and ~$80 at the door. Just take an ID be print out the document with your ticket on it. Personally think going in the evening would've been better, just because I enjoy seeing the lights of the city. It takes you to the 126th floor though(452m). ,
