Ot earthquakes

I have been thinking with all the earthquakes all over in the last few days what can we do to make our tanks a little better that they don't break from a little shake foam board maybe under them not really sure. Been thinking of how to build a stand with old coilover springs it would be kind of cool looking till you put the wavebox in and it all got to rocking.
Any other ideas?

Tanks in Cali seem to do fine. When's the last time we had a quake in Ohio?

I was not in town at the time. But I was told by friends and rellies back home while I was "out of country" that there was an episode of tremors in Cleveland Oh in June of 86.

Personally, I'd think that some moron's in charge expanded carbon tax on Ohioans (Like I told 1st energy to use coal for electric generation) electricity or same moron's new deal spending policy causing a return to the great depression is far more likely danger to our ability to run our tanks/failure than the errant earthquake. Well, next to murphy's law or operator error for the SPS folks that is.

I hope this does not come across wrong (it's not my intention to be controversial), but while a stand with suspension is certainly a cool idea and worth exploring, I think a foremost focus on philanthropy is most appropiate given the recent earthquakes and impact to mankind.

Again, 100% not trying to be condescending but after seeing what the people of Haiti are facing, I'm personally struggling with being here in OH and having limited ability to help.

We had a 4.5 here in utah while i was back in ohio, nothing was amiss when i got back, but i would have liked to have seen if it had an effect on the tanks.
I know many people with large tanks in cali bolt their stands down to the floor which helps significantly. Other than that i've just heard it often sloshes a decent amount of water out on the floor
