OT : Elliptical Steroid Injection?

Who here has taken these injections? What are they like? I was just told this morning I will start taking them and a Dr. should contact me about treatment this week

There are different chemicals? YIKES!!! No sorry no names of anything. I'll ask when they call me about an appointment. So what else should I ask? I was given 2 choices either take this or dive into the surgery:uzi: :hammer: :blown: :lol:

What are you using the steroids for? Muscle wasting or to decrease inflamation?

I've had 5 sets of steroid injections in my neck in 11 months. Three was supposed to be the limit for a year. It worked initially, but its not helping anymore.

I am not sure where there suposed to be but they should flow up where your moves in and then back out

Is it an Epidural steroid injection? If so I've had 3 done. It a shot into the spine, to place the steroids/medicine at the site of the injury/pain.
Joe, the first one I had was bad, the 2nd 2 no big deal, but they didn't work for me.

You know what yes it is that one. I tried to remember the name as best as I could on my way home. I googled "e steriod injection" and got the elliptical one. Sorry for my slowness. When you say bad, what eaxctly do you mean? Like Painful? Unable to move?

Bingo! As soon as I heard we are going to do this and this lalala and maybe some metal here and here ... I looked at him like ahhh give me a shoot please

So, probably cortisone injections, a corticosteroid. Perfectly fine in the short term and it's not anabolic steroids that give backacne, receding hairlines and penis shrinkage, so you need to use a 2L bottle.

Mine were quite painful the first few days, it actually made it worse because of the needle going in your spine. I couldn't turn my head for the first few days. Then it got better for a while, and then the drugs wore off and I was right back where I started from. You won't be able to drive for 24 hours, and you won't want to do much except lay around and take pain killers.

It is a temporary fix!
