OT: email program suggestions?

Hi all...I need some advice and where else to come? The best are right here. So, here's the problem. I've always used Netscape and Netscape mail, but when I updated the program this past week it wiped everything out. Luckily, I keep everything backed up on a separate area, but with Netscape loosing favor in the online community, I'd like to move on to something else. I've got both Thunderbird and Outlook Express, but neither give me the options I need. I want to be able to set up the program to ALWAYS BCC emails I send out and to easily let me set up, edit and view separate address books. Neither seems to be able to do both. Any suggestions on another program that would allow me more user friendly options? Thanks for your help/advice. Marcye

Have you ever tried using gmail? its web based but I think it can do that sort of thing. I'll send you an invite and you can toy with it.

Software wise theres another program called Eudora but I haven't used it in a long time so I don't know if it would be helpful.. I used it a lot in the 90s but know it is still around.

i think theres another one out there just for marketing that should be able to do the fancy bcc stuff called lyris? never used it though. hope this helps!

I used eudora too for years. The only problem with it is that its a POP mail service, so checked mails, sent mails, address books, ETC are on the computer its installed on and not on the web like the web based mail programs. Those you can access anywhere.

i love the web based ones. thats all i use because i can look at my emails from where ever I am. Great for trips or even if I'm at someone elses home. But i don't need very many options. As long as i can compose, forward and reply I'm pretty good.

I'm searching the web based ones now. My problem is finding one that has multi features and is easy to organize. I know that Netscape is a thumbs down these days, but their email program was the best I've ever used. Thanks for the tips. Marcye
