house DJ, did you guys get a bunch of heat for not having the superbowl on HD?

I miss CBSHD

PS: who do we contact to say that we want national geographic HD (and what are the odds of us actually getting it?)
 
charter sucks. I have it and I hate them. I have had 3 moxi boxes fail on me in the middle of important shows, like 24 and miami vice...
 
So I just got off the phone w/ them. And I know most of the Tiers and pricing. The lady tried to tell me that there were 2 HD Tiers. I know for a fact theres not... Guess I'll have to wait till Monday when I got back to work to email someone who knows what there talking about.

I'm startin' to hate our Customer Service!!

I had dish for years and I've now had charter for about 6 years and have had literally zero problems with them. I agree that they are idiots but that should work to your advantage. I complained about my bill going up so much one time and they wouldn't give the rate I wanted. So, instead they said no. Well they ended up giving me 7 free months and then I got the rate I originally wanted. They're dumb but I don't have problems.

Call charter about the cbs hd. I'm getting a hd dvr for my trouble with no charges even when we get it back.

They told me. "well we didn't want to charge your for it". I said, "that's great, I appreciate that. However, I'm paying for it, so I need to be compensated", so she asked me what I wanted them to do. I needed an additional box so it worked out good. Still hope we get it back soon
 
there are 2 HD tiers aren't there

one tier just has locals that you would normally get with one of those HD rabbit ear antennas...isnt it like $3

and then for $10 you get espn, discovery, tnt, HDnet, etc etc

I pay 6.99 for all my hd channels...Local and my espn, disc. hbo,sho, etc...
 
No your all wrong. This is how it was explained to me. Local Channels are free when you lease the HD reciver for $3. Your not paying for the channels at all thats why they justified not giving me anything back when I called *****ing about CBSHD going away and never having ABCHD. They said those channels were complimentary and thus no refund/credit could be given in thier place.

Leighton is right the next tier is ESPN, TNT, DISCOVERY, HEnet, HD movies, And Fox Sports HD and that MTV HD channel. It costs 6.99. It old them that tier is only worthless because Fox Sports never has any programming and most of those channels are crap. I only watch ESPN and DiscoveryHD.

I will be calling back and arguing about something for free. I wish charter had a box like directv that allowed you to add the HD antenna and plug it into your box. Thats how you get your locals through directv.

Charter basically told me there will basically be no resolution with Belo regarding CBSHD until Belo does something different, because charter is not going to pay them any money. They also lied and said Belo controlled the ABS affiliate in St louis and thats why no ABCHD. This is simply not true.

I wish when I called I got the truth or at least the same story everytime. I had some phone folks in Quebec tell me to either accept the service and pay my bill or cancel and go somewhere else.

I have gotten my bill lowered before for no reaosn other than saying it way too high compared to other people I know, they have no standard on service and billing and prices. It is enough to drive anyone insane.
 
Does anyone have a local number for them that is not 1 888 get charter. I want real people not a customer service headache.

Channel 5s website of the day shows how to avoid all the messages. Charter is down near the bottom.

Maybe because I'm in phone sales I don't have a problem getting to the person but I can be talking to a live person within 90 seconds.

Try doing that with AT&T/SBC

I LOVE CHARTER! :lol:
 
I really wanted to talk to someone who is local. Their call center is in Quebec or something. Anyone have a local number for Charter?

I want a free DVR as well.

They still have local people as well as people outside the US. I got a girl from SW Michigan. She's the one who took care of me.
