OT: Guitar Hero

My little sister just got this game for Christmas.

So after attempting to play this for a few days... My question is... is anyone good at this game???

...and is it normal get ticked off to the point I want to throw the little plastic guitar out the window!

Here's what the game looks like if anyone isn't familiar... You have a plastic guitar with 5 colored buttons on it, and you have to hit the corresponding notes as they pass by on the screen to play the song.

Apparently kids like this have no trouble mastering the game... but I just plain stink!

I think I'll stick to Madden.

We have rock band, Same concept. I'm working on the hard level now. I've felt the guitar toss urge as well

I'm absolutely horrible at that game. My kids on the other hand are like a Hendrix/Clapton phenom :lol:

We've had the guitar hero and just got Rock Band 2. I can't play the guitar as my left arm has been broken too many times and doesn't move right. I can't play the drums cause I got no rhythm, and the Good Lord knows you don’t want me singing. My 8 yo and 10 yo however, they’re super stars, just ask them.

I have the 4 previous versions of guitar hero. I am quite prolific at it.

I play Rock Band on expert after a year.... I started on guitar hero but I hated it compared to RB....

So I guess I could say that Im Ok at it... but not really a fan of GH

So, as most of you know....Scott and I work in the concert business. I was working a show and the band (I'm 99% sure) My Chemical Romance, begged me to go out and buy the new Rock Band or Guitar Hero (I think it was GH) because their new song was on it, and they wanted to play themselves.....They seemed to forget that they were the actual band that was supposed to go onstage to real fans....This game sucks in everyone....even rockstars (they also had to be pried off of the game to go onstage, by their tour manager)

we have the first guitar hero that my 12 year oldson ran thru in no time on expert, now his thing is playing the guitar and base. without being biased this kid is very talented at both of them, i see money signs in the future.lol as far as i go on those games i have no patience end up getting madd and just walk away from that game.

Haha... Yeah I am apparently right between the Medium/Hard levels... so Medium is too easy, and Hard just frustrates me. I just have to keep reminding myself... breaking a 12yr old's toy would not be cool. :lol:

I'm with Sean though... I keep telling my little sis she needs to buy the drums!!!

My kids have all the versions of GH, the 17 YO daughter has gotten really good at it. She got world tour for Chrsitmas and put it in and was playing on expert right away and getting perfect scores the first time playing the songs. Then I tried it and played terribly on beginer.

I've gotten through expert on GH2, GH3, GH:Aerosmith, Rock Band, Rock Band 2, and am working on GH:WT... I'm also attempting to get through hard on drums, it's a slow process....

If you;re a hip- hop and a rap listner what do you expect. This game is for the head bangers and real music listeners.Play some Hendricks "voodoo child" and I'll play that thing behind my head then set it on fire



I think I'll stick to Madden.
