OT: help, we're looking for a Christmas kitten

We've decided there are not enough mouths to feed around here and want 1 more to go along with the 2 dogs, cat, and bunny.

Our cat only loves our older daughter and only hangs out/sleeps/etc with her. He turns his nose up to us and our 12 yr old daughter. Doesn't he understand who actually feeds him??? Anyway, we'd love to get Chloe (our 12 yr old) a kitty of her own.

We really want to go the kitten route this time since our last couple adoptions have been adult critters (Golden and cat).

If you know of anyone selling/adopting a kitten in the next couple weeks please let us know. It's crazy how hard it is to find one...guess it's because of the time of year and Christmas.

Hope it's ok to post this. :wavehand:

Merry Christmas!

My grandma had a couple litters of kittens she was homing. We took one, she's wonderful... When she's not being a hormonal baby cat  I know she had two left, but she was set on them going together because they're brother & sister, and have been together since birth. I can ask if they're still available if you'd be interested in a pair of super cute trouble makers.

Justin,

How old are they now? 2 might be too much but maybe.....

No worries, I understand lol
They're 3 or 4 months now. My sister's is from the previous litter, so maybe 6 months. She's still tiny. She also just went into heat because we haven't gotten her fixed yet.

I have a friend that does rescue - I'll ask her if someone has a little kitten. Do you prefer male or female and does it matter if it's long or short haired? You can also always try your local humane society, they usually have lots of kittens. Local vets may also have postings up in their waiting rooms.

I miss having a cat - mine was so sweet and had totally bonded to me. Slept with me every night and would hold my hand with her paw.

any kitten will do Leslie, thanks for the help.

I have her looking into it - I saw her last night and she says that she's pretty sure there are some young ones around.

Oh man…kittens. They're like my kryptonite. Them and oreos.

Could I sound more like a crazy cat lady? The way to my heart: kittens and oreos. hah hah.

Thought there were a few places to pick up homeless cats in the state. Could make yours and their Christmas. See that lady on news all the time showing cats and dogs for adoption. Also forgotten felines.

Kittens are quite difficult to find during the holiday season....first because less mamas are having them in the colder months and second because of the holidays. Unless you want a purebred $800 kitten that is. Good luck.

We just got approved by Forgotten Felines and they supposedly have 25 kittens at foster homes, so it looks like we're going kitten shopping this weekend. :)
