OT: How are the Dart Frogs doing?

Anyone elses frogs trying to kill themselves by trying to jump out of the top of thier tanks. I have one that constantly tries and just bounces off the lid all day long. I am agraid he is going to hurt himself cause he jumps headfirst into the plexiglass and just bounces off. It makes a noticeably loud thump against the glass when he does it. Any ideas?

Ohh and I have finally come to the conclusion that both of my Cobalts are male. So there will never be any tads for me unless I find a female. Anyone have one?
 
If the plexiglass is clear, then maybe try to put something on it so it doesn't look like there's nothing there. :)

He is doing it right under the light. Sorry for the confusion I think i said plexiglass but I meant the glass, I have the light sitting on the glass half. He climbs to the top of the background and then just starts trying to jump through the glass right where the light is sitting.
 
Hey Turtle, Sorry just logging back in from a while off the internet. The plants floating are from Ckreef, some sort of water lilly thing. I am with liking the frogs very well but am having my first set of plants not make it. A nice orchid rotted off and it was mounted in the background and my other ground ferns are all kinda rotting so its staying way to wet I guess. Froggs are all doing good. They are a lot of fun to watch and WAY easier to take care of than the reef! ;).
 
I am going East and will call the breeder in Bristol who I got my lucs from and see if he has any if you want. Call me later 615-557-5seven5eight.
 
Is she the gal in Knoxville? She may have what jesusfreak is looking for. I talked with Kevin today and he has some tiny Lucs, colbalts and azurus (SP) ready if anyone wants me to grab some when I meet him next week for mine.
 
hey angela....how many lucs does he have? ....im looking for about 5 of them...let me know if he has some and how much?
 
Here is the email I got from Chesney. I have the contact info if anyone is interested.Also she will have some Leucs, Cits, Powders, Azureus, and Cobalts soon.

It will be another month or so before I have any froglets ready to go, but I had a guy contact me from Jacksboro yesterday who is getting married and is selling his entire collection with many extras for $350.00. He has 4 Cobalts he got from me, some leucs and auratus. He has the tanks, heaters, leca balls, thermometers, exo terras, lights...you name it.
 
John, I will call him in a bit and see about the lucs. I know he said the lucs were still small and not out of the water long so they shouldn't go to a new frogger with no experience but I am sure he will be fine since you are experienced.
Turtle, His cobalts are about a month away from being able to be sexed I think he said, will check on that also for sure send me your number or better yet just call my cell so I can get you right away for an answer if I need to know since I am getting up with him Wed. evening. # is up a few posts.

The cobalts are cheaper $30-40ish I think he said, can't remember...and the azuras were $65 but the price would be better if we got more frogs naturally. The lucs are cheaper than the others and I bet they are a good price since they are small. Mine were around $25 each for lucs I think last fall.

I have your #'s Chris and John and will let you know what he says tonight. Turtle about sexing the cobalts when you call. :) I am getting a group of 3 azuras so if anyone wants to add on to mine to help us both out on price and maybe if we need to swap out to get the proper pairs it would work out.
 
But we might be better off getting that deal from Jackburo but where is that? Lucs for John, and he was looking for Azuras and the cobalts for you or me Chris... Just a thought. I have 2 freinds I am setting up a tank for and one needs the tank so it may be a good deal to split. Just a thought if its not a haul...

I will be comming through late fri or sat after 12ish... I need to get up with what works best for Dave. I can't wait to see all the cute babies today. Meeting him at 2.
