OT: How do you make these?

OK - I know someone out here in Tampa Bay must know how I can make these. I'm not sure if it's welded or brazed? I want to learn how to do this! I have a Air/Acetylene torch with Smith tips but not sure what to use as the welding material. Can you use Acetylene as a way to weld? Just a little information to get me started in the right direction - I'd like to use the equipment that I now have if possible - I have to many explosive things around I really don't want to add another. Here is the type of thing I'm trying to build - it's like 7 to 10 inches tall (Metal part only). These stands cost me like 20 - 30+ bucks and I know I can make them a lot cheaper. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Looks to me like it's brazed but it could be a weld depending on the type of metal. You should be able to duplicate it by brazing. You can pick up brazing rods at any welding supply store. I think Home Depot may even carry them but I'm not poisitive.

Thanks Global - I might have to check HD out. I'll just make sure I have my fire extinguisher handy when I try it . The place I get my CO2 tanks filled has all this stuff but I wanted to be a little educated before I asked them anything - don't want to be taken with a new system if I don't need too.
