That trailer looks sweet!!! The actual gameplay graphics, so so. I didn't get to watch all the trailers on it, did they say if the online is going to be pay to play??

they may offer deals for the first months to get players hooked, the game play is pretty good looking for a MMO,but not ground breaking..I'm pretty sure they will charge a monthly fee at some point..

but first they need to steal some of the World of Warcraft crowd that makes up as about 90% of online gaming players..Over the last 5 years several online games have tried to knock World of Warcraft of the top of the hill and have never even come close..

We will see,I kinda like this one..

"looks" awesome!!

Hopefully it will be. Some games have had great trailers. But then the avid gamer finds things the designers leave out or are not convenient to certain play aspects of the game.

I'm waiting to see the "ranking" from gamers play.

What's the story line for this one? Obviously "Old Republic".
But before the demise of it and the rise of the empire?
Or just an all out "expanded" or "alternative" Universe of it?
Obviously not falling in line with "continuity" of the storyline from films.
Not that, that matters. The action looks awesome. Games always take things to new and different levels of expanded universe.

My question just arrises from the many "Sith" Characters shown in the Game trailer. The clones fight them. But traditionally clone troopers do not encounter too many siths in their time. Just a couple. (Sidious/Palapatine, Count Dooku and Anakin/Vader)
Traditionally the Sith existed in greater numbers prior to the prequel film era(Before the "old republic") But the "clone" troopers did not arrive until long after the age of multiple Sith warriors.(end times of the old republic)

It certainly adds expanded and much more fun game play with the array of weopons, styles, attacks, and various mixed characters. Just like they've done with some of the other games. Very cool.
I was just wondering(other than an expanded game story idea for fun) was there any other insite into the storyline? Anyone know?

Ahh... Now I found it:

The story takes place in the Star Wars fictional universe shortly after the establishment of a tenuous peace between the re-emergent Sith Empire and the Galactic Republic, 300 years after the events of the Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic games and more than 3,500 years before the events in the Star Wars films. The Jedi are held responsible for the success of the Sith and choose to relocate from Coruscant to Tython, where the Jedi order had been initially founded, to seek guidance from the Force. The Sith control Korriban, where they re-established a Sith Academy. The game begins as new conflicts arise.

A collaborative effort between Bioware, Lucasarts and Dark Horse Comics has resulted in a webcomic entitled "Star Wars: The Old Republic: Threat of Peace" and "Star Wars: The Old Republic: Blood of the Empire", the purpose of which is to set up the story as the game opens.

(Traditionally, I don't see "clone" troopers being in this period, but who cares! It's bound to be cutting edge Fun!)

Bioware makes some pretty awesome stuff.
Anyone play DragonAge at all? Another game by Bioware with online aspects too. It's roleplay mixed with action moves. A great concept. A lot more fun than just your average beat it up, kill it game.

How many PS3 or Xbox people do we have here?
