Heat Advisory all around today. Everyone make sure to keep cool, drink plenty of fluids and don't stay out in direct sunlight. Make sure your aquariums are all set as well. Get those fans or chillers going and or keep the lights off.

Enjoy the heat I guess!:spin2:

great words..I hide in the house these kind of days lol

When I was young I was a cook in a local pizza shop, these kind of days in there the temp would easy hit 125-130 in that place, 10 hour day there was torture

I remember when my 135 used to get to 83. Eeeek. Now I run my chiller on my Solana and it has worked well. Though it does add some heat to the room because of the exhaust. But as long as my tank is looking good!

Basement 40 and living room 37 are fine...staying right around 80. The Biocube 14 in bedroom is another story. It got up to 83-84 in there yesterday. Today, just the LEDS (Stunner strips) are on and the lid is propped open, and it's 81.5...things look fine. I did buy a small fan and will clamp that on if it starts rising again.

And on a side note, something that shouldn't have to be said. I know all of us here are smarter than this but Humane Society and Rochester PD just had to be called on some guy that parked his car in our lot with a large dog inside and left it there for at least 40 minutes. He showed up from apartments across the block once the van & police cars pulled in. Some people do not deserve to own pets. <-- Understatement

Came home to house at 86 and tank at 82. Our central a/c unit (and electrical system) needs upgrading and after running non-stop yesterday our main circuit breaker tripped last night and wouldn't flip back on until 35 minutes later. Needless to say I didn't dare run it today with no one home but that puppy is on now. I'm not worried about the tank creeping up to 82 as it got higher than that a few times last summer but this is going to be a loooong week. :p

Mel-Hope that gentleman got charged with Animal Abuse. Well one day down another hot day tomorrow. Same thing, drink fluids, keep yourself kids and pets safe too. I will be out at Darien Lake having my vacation day staying cool on the water slides! Have another good day everyone!

finally had to put AC on in Living Room for the 120g. 90g holds steady at 77.8 in bedroom with AC on continually. (RG&E loves me....well...my money, anyway). 120g hit 82 and that baby was ON. Kept it on all night as well...tank is now 79.2

Lovely day yesterday with some good friends in cool places...planning that again today.
