OT:looking for a dog

thought I would ask around. but today I am going to have to have my 13 year old lab put down.due to health reasons.
and I don't care to be with out a good freind to long .would very much love to get another lab or lab mix.I don't have alot of money to spend on a pure breed lab.
I know it's a long shot but if anyone knows of one LMKwilling to travel.

Sorry about your pal, I know how hard it is to lose a pet, especially one you have had for 13 years.

I am not sure where Sodus is in NY but I was just looking on Petfinder.com yesterday and they have a TON of dogs available in the local shelters. I did a search from Vestal and I would say there are hundreds within a 50 mile radius. Give it a shot.

I picked up two dogs from The Pet Connection in Marilla,NY. http://www.petconnectionprogramsinc.com/Adoptions.asp

They rescue dogs from down South where they use gas chambers to kill them. I got a Shepard collie mix and a beagle mix. They are great dogs!!

i have an 8 month old jack russell named bart your more than welcome to take if you want him. i just really dont have the time to spend with the little guy..... let me know
