Just open an account on Facebook (free). You don't have to do anything else if you don't want to. Once you're in LMK the name you're registered under and I'll send you a friend request (you have to be on someone's friends list to be in their mafia).

Once you're on my friends list, I'll send an invitation to join my "family". I'm pretty sure I'm automatically in yours as well after it's done.

Can family members from different websites play the same game? Are they all linked together somehow, or are Facebook's and My Space's games seperate?

You can send a request to someone on your friend's list, or vise versa. My profile's private, so I have to send a friend request to the other person first before the mafia addition request.

From what I can tell, when you join someone's else's mafia it also puts them in yours so you still have your own missions.
