OT: My summer 2009 time lapse reel

I had some success doign some stars. Very cool. I just watched your video again, it is AWESOME. Not that I was bored with my regular photography but this is gonna be fun to play with!

what are you shooting with? i thought it was a 5D mark II is that correct?

have you shot regular speed HDV with that camera, experience any problems with it, like rolling shutter ext.. would you recommend it for a film student/ photo enthusiast or would you recommend waiting for the RED Scarlet?

I am Really blown away by image quality and composition. stellar work.

I use the Canon 5dmarkii with stills. You could accomplish similar results with pretty much any nice Canon/Nikon. The one thing that the 5dmarkii gives me that's a real advantage over other bodies is it's high ISO performance. Makes pulling off those night shots much easier.

I barely use my markii for video - but I'm trying to learn basic video shooting/production techniques at the moment so I'm going to be shooting a lot more. Red scarlet will be awesome for video - just expensive once you add up all the accessories. I know a guy that has a 5dmarkii and a RED camera and he seems to do most of his time lapse on a 5dmarkii.

I guess it makes sense to favor the 5D mark II if your time lapse is a mega compilation of stills.

seems like everything is expensive once you add up all the accessories
