Well anyone who's been over to my place knows it's somewhat like a fair without the rides... :)

Well here is the latest addition to the fold.
A one year old (Almost brand new) 5 Flavor Cappuccino Machine.
It was going to be thrown away on a Gas station remodel I was doing.

Naturally not wanting it to go to waste I gave it a new home..

I've since looked up all the flavors I can put in it and man I'm sad it can only have 5 flavors at a time in it!!!
There's a TON of flavors out there for this machine!!!

Well not too bad for a $5,600 machine for FREE.

Now my frags (or cheato) for people who come over, include a cup of coffee or hot chocolate on the house!

Who's up for frags and caffine?
;)

mocha and irish creme wow, do you need your car washed or lawn mowed. Will work for caffeine. I used to eat chocolate covered coffee beans driven over the road, it'll make your hair tingle. Cool machine!

hahah Mihn..
What do you mean? I'm already up till RC boots me at night due to "back ups" ;)

Dude just come on over and I'll hook ya up with some free frags and some good stuff.

Heck I want to get rid of the mocha flavor so I can put in a new flavor, bring a thermos over and fill-er up!!!

I'll be home in the afternoon tomorrow, you're more than welcome to come over and shoot the bull..
:)

Did you split your RO water to also run the Cappy machine?

No, I wish there was a better way to do this..
It only refills the system with the amount of water you used on the last cup, so RO system would be stopping and starting with each cup, and RO systems don't do start / stops very well..
The unit has a 6.5 Gallon tank inside that it heats the water to 190 degs.

It took 4 trips to OSH and some poor guy who worked there 2 hours to come up with a way convert 3/8 Flared male fitting on the machine, to "some tubing" to hose bib...

It was a nightmare!!!!
So I finally got a 3/8 flared fitting union gender-bender so I then had 3/8 flared female, then took a 90 male 3/8 flared valve, that outputs male 1/4 standard thread, then added a 1/4 female to hose barb, then added the hose, then found a barbed to hose bib.
PHEW!!!!

Crazy stuff but it works now!!

I tried the Pomegranite. I like the initial taste but it left an after taste i didnt care for much. I like the regular and even diet rockstar. BUt that monster, Yummy!

Steve: When the baby grows up, I only hope she appreciates how truly creative/entrepreneurial/industrial you are.

You are a hard core capitalist American. Good on ya. I applaud.

Dang, you have much more patience than I do figuring out how to hook up that machine. I spent 30 minutes in ACE today scratching my head trying to figure out the best way to hook up my RO/DI to the cold water input right before my water heater.

Due to the limited selection they have I said 'screw it' and just decided to piece together a section that will screw in immediately before the inlet to the water heater and tap into that. I know I could have found a better/cheaper way to do it, but didn't want to put the time in. $19 in copper parts just to tap into my cold water! Dang that hurt.

Now if it can make my venti caramel machiato's, I'll gladly give you my money. Starbucks is a one serious monkey on my back ! :rolleye1:

Man, that is sweet! Great find. I need to get me one of those; sure would cut down on the wife's daily starbucks expenses...that stuff adds up. I'm way jealous.

Funny you should mention that auto drip Mihn..
I just pulled up to the house (30 mins ago)and saw water gushing out my closed garage door down the drive way into the street!!!!

I ran up, flew inside and found that the main water feed line for the machine had broken and was spewing water EVERWHERE in the garage..

I've got as much as I could mopped up.. The rest will just have to be evaporation...
I need to go get some of the braided hose line so this does not happen again!!!!
What a mess!!!

But hey the machine is still up and running!!
:)

Update..
The coffee is now starting to taste like rubber hose...
So now I need some tubing that does not leach taste into the water!!!

Ahh the project will never end!!
So simple, yet this has been the worst project (hitches) in months!!!

SAVE THE COFFEE ! glad to see nothing important got hurt. Try high pressure line or a regulator on the main. Most newer homes have em.
