OT- Polynesian tattoos

I'm thinking of getting a project tattoo on my arm. Being that I'm from Hawaii I want a polynesian style tattoo. What is a decent price for a half sleeve and what are the better establishments to get this done.

Thanks
Mike

Depends on where you go. I have my whole thigh in niho mano. It took about 4 hours which would be about $3-400 at most places. Im guessing a half sleeve would be a little less. Depends on the layout and if you want to actually get it tradition "tapping" or not

Not looking at getting the old school way. New school is fine. I have a few items that I want to incorporate in. I'm born and raised in Hawaii and my parents are immigrants from the Philippines. So I want the Hawaiian islands and the philippine sun.

Endless- Where did you get yours done?

Where do you live? I have my whole right arm, shoulder, back sleeved with Polynesian tattoos. All my family does also. I did all my families and I have an appt this sept to get the Samoan traditional tapped tattoo from the waist to the knee. I will post pics later of mine and my work.

Fire I for sure would like to se some work! If you do some nice stuff i would also like to make one appointment!

About 8-9 yrs, I study the artwork and know what patterns mean! Alot of people make the mistake of putting patterns together that don't make sense. I hate that! I am Samoan and really take our tattoo artwork serious. I've done Samoan, Tongan, Hawaiian,Fijian, etc patterns and know the true meanings. Don't let the tattoo artist you choose fool you my friend. I will happily tell you what patterns you can use or not when you decide to go get it.

Tanu,
Can't wait to see your work! Maybe you can poke my tattoo. My in-laws live in LA so the trip down south isn't an issue.

Nice pictures,,, Im also a tattoo artist and just wanted you to remember to look at portfolios before getting a piece done. Not all tattoo artists are created equal. And speak with your artist to make sure he or she is someone you want to be in the chair with for a few hrs. I love my customers alot and try to make them as happy as possible with a great tattoo and good conversation. Good luck..
