Yes, the PADI certification is good everywhere. But the "Discover Diving" I don't believe amounts to much other than an intro to the hobby.

ok...called them again. Might be able to have it as a Resort course of sorts (three day instead of all in one day like a Resort course is usually). We then can apply what we paid to a PADI. They didn't make any promises that they could do it yet..they haven't done this kind of thing in years from what the guy said.

It sounds like a good way to try it and see if you like it.

The owner is out right now. John said he will get back to me this weekend or beginning of next week.

yeah, the "resort" sort of thing is more of a crash course in scuba diving and what it is all about... hence " DISCOVER" diving.

I just have to do my open water dives for my C-card.

But pool time is always fun also
