Definately a cool place but be careful when you go. I took the wifie there in the spring and I think every school had their field trip that day. The lot was full of school busses and the place was full of screaming meanies!
Growing up in and around Chicago as a kid. We always looked forward to the multiple field trips to the shedd or one of the local zoos.
If you never been you need to go it's amazing. While your there you also need to go to the sears tower especially if it's windy. You can actually feel the building sway. I haven't been since 9/11 so things might have changed.
I loved the Shedds aquarium, I could go every year if I could. When I went it was packed, as stated above. The last time I was in Chicago I was not able to go because I went to see Rory Lake....
as well as visit a friend and do some other stuff. There was a huge line to get in that day. I say give yourself a full day so your not rushed if you decide to go and try to check out Rory Lake at the nearest VFW in Chicago to fullfill your karaoke dreams.
A few members have been, and posted some great pictures, I have always heard great things.
I think if your are up there, It would be a great experience.
Susan and I went about 5 years ago. We enjoyed it. I'd recommend either get there very early to get tickets or get the tickets prior to going. The lines can get very long. We ended up spending about 6 hours there but we went though and looked at everything. If you haven't done it, you should. I'm working a trip to Atlanta right now to see the Aquaruim there.
I used to go there atleast once a year when I lived up that way. Deffinetly a nice place. I can't wait till I make the trip up north again so I can go.
