OT: Shots from Belize

I got back from my trip last week and had an absolute blast there. The first four days were filled with perfect weather while the last four weren't so nice, but I still managed a few decent pictures. All shots taken with my 50D and an array of lenses. Enjoy!

Very nice! Hope you had a good time. :)

The snorkeling pictures are great. I haven't been snorkeling for a long time (last time was in Bermuda). #5 looks like desktop wallpaper material, too!

Those are beautiful! The G9 really did a great job on the underwater shots.

How long were you there?

Beautiful shots. If I drink, can I do that in photo 4????????
The water color there is my favorite color.
Thanks for sharing. I wanna go.:)

Those are great shots! And the underwater pictures are so cool.

Where in Belize were you? I loved Belize when I went there, it is a beautiful place. But in Belize City it was very dirty.

You're killling me...I NEED to go someplace like that! Your pictures did an amazing job of capturing what appears to be an amazing place (and one I would love to go to like right now!).

I am feeling the serious pressures of a busy business, buying ahouse, and remodelling another one and I tell you I NEED to get to a place like that or I am going to die.....

Did you do a resort thing or what? What housing did you use on the G9? Images looked good. I would love to see a turtle like that.

My wife and I were there for 8 days, which was a good amount of time. I'll spend more time in other parts of Belize when I go back though.

We stayed in Ambergris Caye in the town of San Pedro for most of the time. We spent a night in Caye Caulker and the day on Belize mainland to visit the ruins.

I hear you, I needed to get away as well. Belize is a very chill place and a great place to head to. We didn't do the resort thing, we stayed at a condo on the beach. We wanted more of a local experience so we got a place with a full kitchen so we could buy fresh fish and grill it up ourselves. The housing I used on the G9 was the Canon one. It worked out great for what I wanted. And the turtle was very cool to see, it was actually directly under the boat when we first stopped to go snorkeling.

Thanks everyone for the comments! Traveling around is great fun but it's even better when I can share it with others.

True that.

Sounds like a great way to do it with the condo.

Your images are an absolute joy! They should help you vividly remember the experience for years to come. Your G9 with housing was a great asset as well!
