OT : So Cal Boy Gonna Win The Tour

Let me be the first here to say congrats to San Diego native Floyd Landis, who is going to win the Tour de France. He's up by 59 seconds on 2nd place & those that follow cycling know that tomorrow is just a "for the fans" stage.

Floyd was down by almost 10 minutes on Tuesday of this week, but turned in what is considered by many, to be the greatest stage ride ever on Wednesday, making up almost the entire 10 minutes. He was down by 30 seconds this morning, but beat Oscar Pereiro by 1 minute 29 seconds, giving Floyd the overall lead by 59 seconds.

Amazing thing about this win is Landis is set to have HIP REPLACEMENT surgery after the Tour has finished!!!

Let's hear it for a local boy done good & for the 8th straight year, the "maillot jaune" is gonna belong to an American!!!!!!

hats off to landis for sure!!!

what he has done is nothing short of incredible and amazing!

if anyone has ever competed in cycling (which i have), one would know how this is considered the hardest sport in the world.

and, like steve said, has a hip replacement.

wow! first lance surviving cancer and winning a record 7 tours (still unbelievable) and now landis with a most likely win having a hip replacement.

8 years of america in yellow! crazy or what?

major props to him. really amazing comeback. I thought this tour was far better to watch then some of the past. The funny this is what will the french acuse him of.
