OT - Some InfraRed fun this morning

This morning I had some fun with my IR converted RebelXT. I really like the uniqueness of the IR look and whenever I use that camera I kick myself for not using it more often.

A few I converted to straight black and white but the others I left colored.

The contrast range looks amazing. Have you printed anything from that camera? Any of those shots would be a wallhanger. By the way- where'd you have the conversion done?

I haven't yet but I really need to. I need to order a couple prints this week for another project and I might have to slip a few of these in.

I did the conversion myself (not for the faint of heart) but the filter that I'm using has a couple of tiny scratches in it. I really can't go above f/8 or they show up. It was really more of an experiment than any thing. I might end up sending it off to Lifepixel.com to have a better quality conversion done.

Very cool. As much sun as we have here, I need to look into IR options. I like the colored versions better myself, but nice work either way. And nice job of the tasteful, non-obtrusive watermark!

The pastels look very different; I like them.

The flowers with the bees are actually very bright orange with yellow and black centers. It's interesting to me that the bees look basically the same.
