OT Travel question.

I was there over christmas
Some of the other great sites are:

In the summer brookfield or lincoln park zoo,
the art institute of chicago( about 3 blocks away)
the Feild museum (located next door)
the Adler planetarium (located next door)

When you're there check out the Iguana / Carribean shore exhibit. It's pretty spectacular and real lesson in combining a terrestrial & marine habitat. The "wild reef & Amazon rising exhibits are unique as well.

I've always found that it was the tanks in the original galleries where I got the most inspiration for my tanks at home. Significantly more variety on a more manageable scale. Last time I was there they had an interesting FW display of an asian river. The primary plant was a small leafed water lily and it was pretty neat to see the fish swimming among the stems.

Thanks, we are planing it for September, so we are hoping for nice weather for walking and shopping as well.

Check out Millenium Park. It's an amazing sculpture garden that was recently put up. Also, there's always Michigan Ave & Navy Pier. Michigan Ave has great shopping (Incl Marshall Feilds / may be rebranded as Macy's) * Carson's. There's a fabulous mall at water tower place.

If you can do it, try and get a boat tour on the river & lakefront. It's the best way to see the architecture of the city.

Also, The Hancock Building's observation deck is more convenient and has a nicer view than the Sears tower.
