OT Trona pinnacles rock reef safe???

I visited this site while working in the area, and was wondering if the rock would be of any use in a reef. I read that it is high in Calcium. It is called Calcite, limestone and contains Calcium carbonates. Just wondering if anyone knows more infor or has experimented with it.
