OT Viewsonic G Tablet

Cool, can't wait to check it out! After reading the reviews most people were pretty happy.. If you really felt like screwing around it sounds like you could swap out the operating system and really make it cook!

DO NOT get the G tablet. It has the worst viewing angle of any device that i've used in the last 10 years. It was a great device which had very good potential, ruined by one of the cheapest parts. I bought one and returned it the next day. The same for 2 co-workers.

The XOOM is a nice device. Mine is rooted and oc'd. Running honeycomb 3.1. Stable and fast.

And of course the Isheep devices are fine, as long as you enjoy getting nickle and dimed, forced to use their own stolen and re-branded version of open source software, and not being able to unlock the true potential of the hardware. Im not bias'd at all...:wavehand:

edit: I dont mean to offend you acdraindrps. It is a great device and all. I and many others find it unbareable to use just because of the screen alone. You literally have to look at it upside down (you know what i mean on this one) or straight on. None of the other devices suffer from this. I recommend exercising your return policy

Uggh apple hater. Listen I am not a apple lover. I am typing on a tricked out dell laptop for 1/3 less of the same spec apple mac pro....however.... apple products have a lot of positives. Iphone and Ipad are priced nicely in the market. Contacts, calendars, notes, apps, books, music....all sync across all devices and integrated (yes, I know you can use 3rd party to do the same thing). I can buy a book on the iphone and 30 seconds later it will show up on my ipad. You can jailbrake a device and get the really cool apps and themes. I don't use a stock iphone and apple has a much mature ecosystem compared to the others. Ios 5's photostream will divorce people when they don't know that if they take a picture with your phone, it will show up on every device you have.

All these functions are not only available, but have actually been native in even as far back as outdated windows phones. Iphones leverage the best technology out there. ActiveSync for exchange, in most businesses. All phones that leverage ActiceSync have the same feature set. All phones that get any other pop email, leverage the same technology as well.

On the Market points: Everything bought on the Market is synced to all devices in androids as well. In an androids case, most everything is free, due to the nature and mentality of the person who created it. Opensource. Dont get me wrong. They dont have to. They choose to.

I believe tha the real issue is that Apple users just have no idea that there is something else out there that not only works, but works cheaper and sometimes better. An apple user will argue other devices are unreliable.When in actuality, the users of other devices may go a bit crazy tweaking their device for bragging rights and cause this failure. They were likely not qualified to make the changes they made. Didnt understand everything and chose not to read up on it. Their bad. If left alone and used just like an apple device, it will work "like" an apple device.

Yep, apple hit the market first in the device world. No argument there.
