chocolate lab, best ever. I prefer hunting lines, but they are usually more active, look for a line that is more "show" dog and less hunting, they'll be more indoor natured.

Try a Puggle...very cool lookin' dog. Hoping to get one as soon as I finish with the new tank setup.

I'm a Boston Terrier fan myself.

Small, well behaved, and a little tough guy/girl when needed.

I love labradors, they are the most amazing dogs ever. Completely unconditionally loyal, loves everyone / everything, kinda dumb so you can train them to do anything. They shed a bit in summers though and need a lot of outdoorsy excersize.

Labradoodles, however, are smarter, and thus a bit more conniving. Still freaking adorable, great personalities, great with family. They are smaller, and they don't shed. THey'll lose a bit of hair here and there, much like humans do, but not shed in blankets of fur. Some come out really ugly, in a cute way, and some are just adorable.

I've had 3 labradors in my lifetime, and they were the sweetest things in the world. You could be in any sort of mood, and seeing the tail wag of these guys would melt you with a smile regardless.

My sister has a new labradoodle puppy, almost a year old now. It's just a smarter version of a labrador, looks a bit different (long legs, skinnier, smaller body, curly shaggier hair). Here are some pix of the labradoodle:

labs are nice, but if you don't have the space for a german sheppard you don't have the space for a lab either.

walk twice daily at least, backyard is needed. give them a weight vest so they feel like they're working on something. They need to "work" or else they'll go crazy and rip up your entire house since they're a working breed.

doodles are a bit smaller, but would still need a lot of exercise.

How about a minature Aussie? They are really smart and obedient but are not as hyper as the herding Aussie. My Aussie is small but not minature and I swaer to god she know exactely what I'm telling her.

haha pugs are so freaking funny =) they look like a dog that ran into a wall, and stayed that way. they look so goofy.

I'd also recommend bulldogs, they have so much skin and they're kinda lazy, really adorable.

I mean shoot, you can teach them to skateboard:

and puppies of course are to die for:

Bulldogs are cool. Ever have one step on you - freakin not funny :(
Pups are cute too. Their drool is not cool.

Yeah, pugs got that really smashed in look, but I have yet to meet a mean one.

lol!!! is that why they're cool? cuz they drool and fart? haha

yeah they're awesome. there are some other brown bulldogs with a smaller face. I don't know what they're called though...

hmm, no they're super round, and have tons of skin... their whole body is brown. big eyes.

ears don't stick up either. they look like english bulldog ears kinda.

maybe it's not a bulldog?

i used to have a standard American Eskimo named Nini. Great dog to have. A day I post my house up for sale, my aunt in Sactown immediately asked to adopt Nini. My kids love Nini, I have to drive my kids to Sacto to visit Nini once a month. Great dog, only problem is she shred (twice a year). Btw, I got my dog from Max, yeah that Max from MA. Max used to run a fish store in San Jose back in 97. Does anyone remember that store here? :)

LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's the same dog in my avatar - LOL

Eskies are not a dog for everyone - they bark and shed and shed and shed and shed and shed.
