OT-what ya think?

I don't get it either...

But you know what I really hate? Those friggen tramp-stamps,seems like 9 out of 10 women these days has one on their back..

I'm not a huge fan of tattoos, but I think some of the simple ones behind the ear look cool. I'm guessing it's popular because they are easy to hide?

LOL @ tramp stamps... every generation has their fair share of silly fads. Don't make me use examples, Todd! :lmao:

Running to left field with glove in the air... :D

I think different people probably have different reasons for the behind the ear tat. As Jon said, a couple women I know got them there thinking they could hide them easier which worked out ok as long as they didn't cut their hair short or wear ponytails. I've also heard of some women getting the "tramp stamp" area tattoo simply in an effort to hide stretch marks. And then there are people who just like what they like and don't really care what others think. One of my cousins has tattoos from neck to toes. She is proud of it and in turn, I've gotta give her credit for tossing aside others' opinions and doing what made her happy.

And then there's the whole other crowd... the ones that do stuff just for the satisfaction of irritating others and making people ask why. lmao I don't hate on these people because I must admit, I'd be pretty bored with society if we all fit into a general cookie cutter expectation. Seeing something on others and deciding I don't like how it looks just helps me avoid contemplating doing it to myself.

haha tell me about it,I have a totally messed up 1980's dragon on my arm,Boy if I could only with that thing away lol

Mostly girls do the tattoo's behind the ear because as Johnny C said they are very easy to hide. Girls usually can cover them up. It's also a spot that really doesn't hurt at all. Not too many nerve endings there to send pain signals to the brain. I have one on my right ankle on the side, that was sooo annoying, it had was very close to my bone and it was vibrating..eeeek. But I can't wait to get the two others I want...lol. My fiance is getting one soon as well. I don't plan on having too many. I need to make sure though they are all able to be hidden by clothes.

Ok thanks-easily hid. I get that.

Ok here's more...

what about star tats-what do they symbolize? i see alot of them.

And what is up w/ some people who got hit right out of the womb w/ the ugly stick-I'm ok w/ that but... there are some of them thatseem to embrace the ugliness-dying hair unreal colors /wearing unpleasing clothes-in essence making themselves more ugly. have they given up? Do you know of who i talk???

about tatts...i have 3. the last one i got on my birthday this past January and it runs from below my shoulder blades all the way up my spine into the nape of my neck...and i love it. I didn't have it done for anyone except myself...i designed it and it represents a part of my life that i have believed in since I was 12. The experience is intense...and i would definitely do it again.

there is some great joke in there but I better not go there. My wifey has lots of tats and I think they are cool. I would love to get one but as an artist I can't even find something I did that I would be happy w/ for the rest of my life.

Ok-how about jesse james lastest-w/ her forehead tat? HUH?

yeah, better not  ...and yes, i'm still awake.:clown:

I hear ya alpha, It doesnt even phase me anymore the crazyness of our generation. I saw a guy the otherday walking down walden ave in cheektowaga with half jet black half bright red hair. black shirt, black jeans and a long black trench coat. Covered in tatoos and peircings. I wasnt really shocked by his appearence. I was in my car with the top down and looked at my brother in the passenger seat and said

"Why would he do that???, That guy has to be sweating his arse off!!!!"

oops I thought it was safe! I'm sure it's lovely!

I hear ya 420! There are some freaks out there & I am not afraid to add I have a freaky side too! Everyone is unique!

too funny....it's definitely the first of it's kind in a predominantly male trend of tattoos...i love what i designed...still gotta do a design for Mynock...don't think i've forgotton!

I think some people have difficulty applying the "ink" of self confidence and individuality more than skin deep.

I don't really have anything against tattoos, they're just not that interesting to me.

The tramp stamp is pretty funny...

Mynock? Who the ??

Mynock = Will...he's on here frequently.

I know people get tattoos for a number of reasons...some pretty stupid....the first one I got was small, and part of a "bucket list" after my open heart surgery. The second was because of my love of birds and this last one was for two reasons, one - for the symbolic nature of the tatt and two...because i knew it was going to be an intense experience. It was, and it came at a time in my life where i needed something to show me what a strong person i actually am...so Will, you are right...it absolutely boosted my self confidence. Now i think, if i can handle that for 2hours and didn't even shed a tear, was completely silent and focused, and drug free (almost 8" is entirely on my spine), if i had that kind of control...that i am able to handle ANYTHING that comes my way, emotionally or physically.

my buddy has a tramp stamp, that's funny:lol:

God bless the tramp stamp. They were put there by god, to help us single men identify the path of least resistance when at the club or bar.
