OT - who has the African Grey?

Man I was looking into one of those and all I have to say is they are loud! I was told if I wanted a bird get somthing else!
 
no, no, no....Cockatoos are loud. African Greys? AMAZING. Smart like Dolphins...smart like humans....will have a conversation with you...

In my younger days,I rescued unwanted parrots..I had a had a couple too's a amazon blue front a greenwing macaw and a few others..

I tell you what the most ear piercing screeeeeeetch had to go to a little too called a sulphur crested too..a small bird but they can make your ears bleed(no lie lol)

The loudest screetch goes to the Green wing,hands down..When she went off people down the street thought we killed people in our house as a hobby lol
 
African grey are great my mother is taking mine. Mine talks up a storm Kat i have a breeder in greece that has tons of them I bought mine from pet store then went back a week later and an employee gave me her number and everything i went to here house on mt read. All her birds can be held.Let me know if you want her contact info.
 
we used to breed them the greys were the best although I am the one lucky person with a quiet cockatoo
 
how much am i LOVIN' the bird people comin' outta the woodwork on this one! Holy cow! I'm not alone....reefing and birding....i just open my wallet nowadays and let everyone take what they want to support my hobbies. :lmao:
 
no...because really? bird people? they are pretty bad. Some of them make my upper lip twitch. I stay pretty quiet until i find someone with a modicum of intelligence that has a bird...or two....:)

hahahaha. here's the rundown at the Superkat aviary....2 lovebirds (dad and baby), 2 cockatiels (rescues), Kiwi (sun conure - from a fellow reefer), Tayahti and Mia (african greys), Buck Rogers (lilac crowned Amazon), Gallie (goffins cockatoo, rescue), Baby (triton cockatoo), Peaches (moluccan cockatoo - rescue), Scully and Mulder (Blue/Gold and Bolivian Scarlet) I am definitely OWNED.
 
the whole aviary is theirs...big logs hanging from the ceiling...i have a schedule planned out of who gets to hang out with me where and when....livingroom, art studio, kitchen, shower....when the weather gets nice...there is a 10'x6' aviary built off the garage that they all go hang out in so i can clean the cages without them trying to help!
