Oh Snap!!!!!! Basketball season is the time to be a proud UCLA alumnus!

Not just basketball season ;) Met my wife there. My kids will go there, or they'll have to pay for their own way through college :D

I felt like Morison at the end I think Gonzaga is a better team bet UCLA had one heck of a come back.

ummmm? I think the better team won:rolleyes: I was shocked to see Morison crying when the game wasn't even over yet. He totally gave up and was accepting defeat when they still had a shot. On the other hand, the bruins were scrapping all night. They were not getting the calls last night, that was evident. There offense was consitant as througout the year(so,so), but so was there defense(pesty). They came through again. Duke is a better team to and they're gone fishin! Anything can happen, Go Bruins!

Good call Eric. Morrison gets all the calls and non-calls as part of his star treatment. But irregardless of who is getting special treatment last night, it's the best team that won at the end. UCLA may not always play their best for 40 minutes, but you can never doubt their heart. Thank you Ben Howland for bring that attitude back to a gloried program. Man, I can't even imagine what would have happened if Lavin was still coach :rolleye1: Well, actually, I could. Just chose to block it out completely. It was heartbreaking during those years watching a dysfunctional team, er, I meant individuals, trying to play a team game.

GO BRUINS!!!

I'm a UCLA fan, but I have to admit, I think the best team did not win last night.

I think Gozaga lost because of a coaching decision. They were beating UCLA down all night. Then with a few minutes left they go into slow-down mode, trying to protect their lead. They completely stopped doing what worked great all night, and they stopped trying to score. They just stalled for time, trying to run out the clock. That is what let UCLA get back in the game.

I was VERY scared for UCLA .. .but hey a win is a win ... what if could have should have ... who really cares!! a win is a win!! MMMUUUAAAAHHHH!!!!

Well, talent wise, UCLA is a better team. But in terms of who played better for the majority of the game last night, perhaps GONEzaga deserved the credit. In the end, UCLA won with tenacious defense and never giving up. The Zags may have played better offense, but also realize that their final score was well below their season average. Also keep in mind that we didn't have the services of Josh Shipp, whose 15-16 PPG is sorely missed. If he was healthy and playing, I doubt there would be any question as to which team is better ;)

I'm sorry, but I had to laugh when Morrison started crying before the game was even over. Yeah, you're right, he did give up even though they had one last shot. Then, after they missed it, he goes back crying on center court. A shame how he did that on tv...

good lord we won? awesome! i caught the first half but missed out ont eh 2nd half...and comeback! wooooooo!

I love watching UCLA win....the last minutes were amazing but you know what is even better?

Who???

I think Morison started crying when ther was about 5 seconds left and he knew it would take a mirical to win. He played his heart out only to see it crumble at the end. Gonzaga would have one if it weren't for a really bad turnover right at the end. But kudos goes to UCLA for siezing the opertunity. I am sure we will see more of morison in the NBA. Just like Ronny Turiaf went to the lakers that guy was my next door neighbor.

The fact that they didn't score a basket in the first nine minutes made this win even more incredible.
The future looks bright with such a young team...Ben Howland has instilled a mental toughness that we haven't seen since the Wooden days.

I thought it was pretty classy that some of the UCLA players tried to help him up when he was crying at the end.
