i think im gonna go drink some GATER-ade.......sorry bruins, we know how you feel......
LOL.......still the hater........but I guess that's what a rivalry is all about. Although if I was going to talk smack, I would learn how to spell correctly first. It's "GATORADE", not "GATERADE".
In a way, there is some resemblence between the end results of the football and basketball championship games. Both of our teams lost. But, the biggest glaring difference is that the USC football team was picked to win it all before the season even started, with a talent loaded team; therefore, the huge dissapointment in not winning the national title game.
The UCLA basketball team on the other hand, weren't even in the top 15 of most rankings. They were picked to finish third or fourth in the Pac 10. Not only did they prove most "experts" wrong, they won the Pac 10 outright, then the Pac 10 tourney, and advanced all the way to the championship game. They far exceeded most people's expectations, with the possible exception of the players and the coaches on the team.
I am proud of my Bruins and what they have accomplished this year. Despite all the injuries, they have shown the school and their fans that UCLA basketball is BACK!!! Don't forget that we lost one of the best players on the team to injury. Perhaps the end result would have been different, but who knows. I am looking forward to next year's NCAA title run, and many more to come
