I sold my '63 Ford Fairlane a few years back on there. It went pretty smoothly, the guy who bought it was from Columbus, so I didn't have to worry about shipping it.
I sold a 72' Bigblock Chevelle about two years ago. A guy came down from Detroit and picked it up. I wanted money to build a new pole barn. I wish I had the car back. I had no problems with the ebay sale. The guy even brought a huge stack of 100 dollar bills. ( I also no longer have) lol
I have a 64 dodge dart that i'm thinking of puting on.360 sixpack I got 7000.00 in the motor alone. Do you pay only if it sell or is there a listing fee ect:
Nice Mopar, You pay a listing fee as well as a final value fee. The final value fee is a percentage of the final sale price. Sometimes you can catch free listing deals on there. My old boss races a 63' Dart 300 with a Max Wedge in A/stock Automatic class. Maybe he knows of people that may be interested. His buddies all have aluminum front clip Mopars and old factory Mopar race cars. More money than I will ever have in some of those cars.
I'd pay a nice finders fee if you sold it, rather give the money to someone than e-bay. It runs great I just don't drive anymore and it's a shame to just leave it the garage. I also have some parts. heads k-member ect.
i would try listing it on craigslist first that way you wont worry about any fees taken plus mostly only local people look at it. i have had pretty good luck with selling parts and that on craigslist and going to be putting my motorcycle on there in the next week. i have sold a car on ebay before too and a guy from texas bought it and it turned into a nightmare. he flew here on a sunday expecting to drive it back and was mad at me because the license bureau was closed so couldn't transfer the title plus it was a bad snow storm and he never seen snow before let alone it was a 86 camaro and we all know they suck in snow. yeah it was just a nightmare but then again couple of my friends have had no problems. good luck on your sale and nice looking car
