other clam types not liked?

I was just wondering why I never see gigus clams in peoples tanks? is it just because they get so darn big or just that no one likes them?

would love to find decent specimens in this part of the country- i only see tiny (2.5-3") gigas reach the market here, and am not comfortable buying that small- fwiw

It's because they get so big. I know clam freaks with 250g tanks who won't get one because they grow so big, so quickly. Why not just move them, you say? The word is when they get quite large they respond very poorly to moving.

Yeah they get so huge! I prefer maximas and croceas love the neon bright vegas colors lol....
