Otherwise very healthy haddoni not attaching. Confused

Have had this haddoni for about 5 months. It has never buried it's foot and does not attach on a rock for long periods of time. All other haddonis are buried/ attached etc.

The foot does not appear to have any damage what so ever and eats when offered food. This most likely looks completely healthy minus laying on its exposed foot most of the time.

I have placed smooth rocks on the foot, have tried digging, and am about to either try a large pvc or another method if someone suggests it.

While in qt the foot attached in the bare bottom tank, but in display not once in 4+ months. (Params and lighting are optimal)

Any advice would be appreciated

I'm having the same problem with a green haddoni he's the only one not settling I was going to do the piece of pvc pipe today because I've tried everything and it's really annoying him floating around the tanks it's been about 3 moths for me floating in display I would suggest the pvc and if that doesn't work I would just wait I've had long tentacles float around for almost a year before they decided to settle lol best of luck

I would encircle it with a few rocks that it can't dislodge so there's a space of around 1" between it and the rocks. It may then decide to wedge its foot under one of the rocks.

I have tried placing him in a good position, placed a small rock on the Column, and put rocks around him (one half buried in the sand), also brought sand next to
Him to try and give him a start at burying, he did not attach or bury and his mouth inflated and brought his foot back to the surface of the sand. I removed half of the rock around him, and his mouth is slight less inflated.

Was going to try pvc, got a 4" piece but the width is too small for his foot.

He was in qt and attached perfectly and strong. He still looks otherwise healthy it is now almost 6 months.

When he first went into dt, he attached to rock and moved a few times. Now though just continues to lay on the sand

can they live full lives without attaching yet looking healthy and eating?
