Our 375g reef tank build & fish room

Especially since y're thinking of going the LED direction, it can control AI as well and simulate storms, lighting, etc

Pretty cool... :)

OK, I'm thinking about this skimmer now:
Deltec External Protein Skimmer AP701
I really need to order this soon, my skinner now is soooooooooo bad that I need to replace it in the morning. what do you think?

Sandy - AP701 could be a little under for the tank your size. If space allowed, get the AP902 or if space is an issue, at least the AP702. Just my 2cent :)

Poor Ed got a shock the other day when we noticed that 1 of the power heads quit working, I thought I was going to have to kick him!

Hehehe

I use an orifinal Reefkeeper and really like it a lot. But Profilux is a new level if you can swing it.

Also think about an ORCA 250 for the money an awesome external skimmer.

Well, I just purchased the Deltec AP902, it should be here Friday :)
Hopefully I can have Ed do the plumbing before the weekend so we can just relax.

Well we had some help from Ed's reef on some drawing for the new tank and fish room, I really like his ideas what do you think?

Forgot to mention Sandy you ahve to think of how to get all the humidity out of the fish room - might want to talk to your contractor to do a exhaust leading out to one of your windows...

Cheers..

Yes, we had a talk with contractor, we will have an exhaust fan installed.

Ed what is that railing/track called you used to move your lights?
did you have to modify your light kit to be able to slide on it?

also we are thinking about placing the aquarium on starboard, has anyone done this?

U can get those rails with it's rollers in those hardware shops.... very standard rollers and rails they used for sliding doors, panels, etc.

Ask the contractor to used those waterproof paint for the fish room as well or even better tiles up the walls :)

TILE UP THE WALL !!!!,
now that will put my Ed over the edge!
Good point on the water proof paint! We have talked about putting up green board on the walls to help with the moisture.

My protein skimmer did not make it yesterday %$#@!

I called Fed-Ex, they said it should be here today, I wonder what those people think sometimes, we have to work to pay for the packages being delivered. I waited all day yesterday! I was really disappointed! Oh well, maybe today.

I am really getting exited about our new toys, one piece at a time.

once the new tank is up and running, we will more than likely get the self-cleaning head!
YES, YES!

being that I'm the one doing all the maintenance anyway.
Ed is starting to look at all my books on corals, and coral friendly fish now.

I'm am so lucky to have him!

Also, we are looking to buy the GHL Profilux Plus II EX Professional Elite.

It is a little pricey, but I think it will be a good investment.
Any thoughts on that!

Ed, it will be my B-day in a couple of months, and that's what I'm asking for.
Just thinking............... that I really wanted that new purse from Louis!

Oh well, now i don't have to touch the yukie stuff anymore!

we got the skimmer last night! man is it HUGH! we will definitely have to turn it down or it will over skim our 120!

I'll take pics. when we install it later today!
