Our 375g reef tank build & fish room

We went diving around some of the reef's also, lots of sea fans, gornies, brain corals some monits, lots of sponges, it was just beautiful, we saw some beautiful fish too, just like in our tanks at home, (well almost ) but BIGGER!, wen saw a school of Parrot fish they must of been 10" to 14" in size, Tangs, Damsels, Angels, Bennies, you name it we saw it. When we went walking down the beach, we saw some star fish so large they were larger than my feet, none were smaller the 12"
this truly was a VACATION!, all we did was fish, snorkel, swim, eat, drink, a lot, and do the same thing all over again every day!

Has anyone heard of or have any experience with Marshall Island Rock?
I was think about using Vanuatu rock, but it is too hard to come by right now.

awesome vacation scenes.
(i like seeing fishes alive either at home or outside.)

Thanks!
we truly had a wonderful vacation. You know when you go on vacation, you need a vacation from the vacation? We can home completely relaxed!

We met with all the contractors, WOW there was a lot to talk about! We will have to upgrade our electrical panel from 200 amps to 300 amps, didn't see that coming. The A/C guy said that our handler might work, but it needs to be replaced. We maybe have 1 more year of life on that unit, The plumber, wow he really has a tough job. he has to run the hot and cold water lines, and then a main line back to the city connection. He said something about having to install a tank in the ground with a sump pump, to pump to the city connection because of the additional line, our current line won't be able to handle the flow? (Ed understands that part. )

We just placed one of the Tunze 6101 in the 120 reef tank, it is absolutely moving some water now!
not certain if I will place the other Tunze in the tank or not,
hmmm......... well let's see........, if I don't place it in the tank, how will I know how to set the controller?

guess I will just have to do it!

I'll post the progress later:rollface:

has any one heard of this light?
AquaIllumination Modular LED Light System w/ Controller

if so, how does it compare to the Solaris?
they are both expensive!

We are still waiting on a bid from the contractors on the fish room build. :rolleye1:
We positively can not go further until we know what the bid is.....
If the bid is out of the budget, we have to rethink everything!
Right now are tanks are appx. 23 inches off the wall and we barely have enough room to play pool! I don't think Ed will let me have a tank that is 36" wide!
We might have to go back to the drawing board and figure out what size tank, I'm sure we are going to HAVE to down size if the bid is too high for the room!:mad2:

sorry for the delays.

We did have a chance to install the two 6101 Tunze on the 120.
those can absolutely move some water. I had to turn them all the way down so the corals wouldn't be blown off the rocks:lol:

The skimmer is working fine, lots of nog:cool:

Better planned well in advance and make changes rather than rush into a build and regret later :) I think u're on the right track.

Your right Ed, we are trying to look at every angle right now, the only thing that I didn't plan in the budget was upgrading the electrical panel and I worried about the plumbing, I don't think I gave myself enough $$$$ there also.

The air handler we knew needed to be upgraded, but we are trying too hold off 1 more year on that!

Looks like I need to work more to pay for all of this

FINALLY!
we got a reasonable bid on our fish room, after ARC and permitting (this should take about 3-4 weeks), then we start our build on the room,, we already know what tank and equipment we are buying.
LET THE FUN BEGIN!!!!!
