Any comments are well appreciated.

Very nice, what camera/lens you using? Love the Fisheye as well. Looking for some tips on how you get the whole fish/hermit in focus? all my macro shots have such a short DOF (using a Nikon D90 & 60mm Macro). What settings you using?

Beautiful.

The equipment used in the pictures above is the following:

My poor old Canon 350D digital camera
Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 USM Macro Lens
Peleng 8mm f3.5 Fisheye Lens (the first picture only)
SMC Takumar 1.4/50mm Lens
Macro rings
Tripod

You can do focus stack if you want to cover more on focus. I'm personally using Photoshop for the job, but there is some free software out there, like CombineZM.
This one in example, is constructed from approx. 10 images (i don't remember exactly).
For more info, check this page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Focus_stacking

Great photos! Thanks for sharing your tank with us.
Especially well done with the composition on the hermit crab closeup (#5).

How did you get the hermit to stay put as you were taking 10 different images with different focal points?

It's easy, you just stare straight into his eyes while quietly singing „Le Marseillaise“, it seems that makes him calm down. :lolspin:

Seriously, it was just my luck, he was very calm and i took the chance. For this 10 images i did probably 60 or 70 (with flash), most of them SOF (slightly out of focus :D ), after the cleanup i remained with 10 or so.
If anyone is interested, i can make short guide how to focus stack in Photoshop (in my case CS4).

Thanks to everyone, for the encouragment!

These are some great pictures... going back to the ones you posted a month ago or two, those hermit crab pictures are amazing, that is one of the cleanest, clearest shots of a hermit crab I've ever seen.

How do you get a critter to sit still long enough to get 10 different focal planes?

yeah I was thinking the same. Mine don't sit still for 1 shot let alone multiple. Do you feed them something with tranquilisers in it :)

Great shots!!!
