Our New 135g Tank with Water

We have the new 135g tank running with water. We're combining the contents of our 75g and 120g tanks into this one. So, we'll have some corals for sale soon. They won't all fit.

Specs on the New System
+ 135g RR All Glass Tank
+ Custom acrylic sump (about 47 gallons, wish it were more...)
+ ASM G3 skimmer
+ 72 inch Aquactinic light unit with 3 250W MH with 10K bulbs, 4 T5 actinics, 3 moonlights
+ BlueLine 70 pump
+ Tunze 6000 with controller
+ 150 lbs of Premium Grade reef sand

It's been running about an hour and the temp has risen to 76.4 degrees. We're hoping the temp will stay cool enough that we won't have to buy a chiller.

Notable thanks to Dwayne at MS and Steve at GA for their help and advice on this project. I can't wait to get everything in the tank. (I know, patience)

Lookin' good Salty! I'll take some interesting Euphyllia (divisia or anchora) or any LPS frags when the time comes.

Looks good cant wait to see it full. It is a shame to break down your 75 it was a nice setup.

Almost everything in the 75 is going in this tank. So hopefully it will look even better than now.

BTW, Fade, we solved the micro bubble issue on the skimmer by adjusting the sponge on the skimmer out take. Wish all problems were that easy.

We have a few corals and one fish in the tank. It's running at about 83 degrees without the lights on so we are not getting to run the lights for long. The chiller is suppose to be in one Monday. Then everything can be moved.

We put the live rock, corals and fish from the 75g tank in last night. It's packed and we won't be able to keep the huge birdsnest and candy cane as we had hoped (these and more for sale soon). The RBTA got mad last night and went under it's rock, so you can't see it in the pics. The purple tang will be added this weekend after the other fish get more comfortable. Otherwise, it's done. Just need the corals and fish to get more comfortable. The best part is there is no GD pistol shrimp in the new tank. It's been the bane of my 75g tank.

The biggest challenges have been helping the purple tang get over ich (stress from changing tanks) and waiting for the sand to get some life in it so the bacteria stops growing over it.
