"Hermits?"

BLAH HAAA HAAA HAAA!!!!! That's funny!

Only 'cuz sometimes I wonder if Dave's really there, or is it just Dave's "spirit".

smithii will only get to be about 4" max - The only real threat to your corals is that they may get "relocated" during the construction of it's burrow and ticked off as the mantis digs in the sand creating minor sandstorms.

Watch for it's colors to morph - It'll likely turn bright green after a molt - Another thing to note about it's molt is that your mantis will "disappear", closing it's burrow for a period of potentially 4 weeks - It's important not to disturb it during this time. They are extremely sensitive; water changes, temp variations can be very stressful and result in death. Do not add any more hermits during this time either as they can possibly become a threat to a newly molted mantis.

I would bet almost any store you went to could get a peacock mantis. Most just don't keep them in stock.
